Welcome to my website. From Spring 2023 I have openings for new clients, please read on if you would like to know more about me and how I work.

Do you feel that past events are affecting how you cope with life today? Do you wonder if you will ever get over the grief you are feeling, or wish you could stop being so anxious? Is your anger eating you up, or have you been feeling low for too long? If so, I may be able to help.

I am a registered counsellor and psychotherapist working from premises in Royston, easily accessible if you live in Hitchin, Stevenage, Letchworth and Cambridge. I also offer therapy on-line and on the telephone and will continue to offer this in my practice.

Many people make use of friends and family to talk through concerns and difficult feelings. Therapy and counselling is for those who are unable to get resolution in this way. Talking things through with a listener trained to make sense of things can help you live your life more fully.

I work with adults either on an open-ended basis or for an agreed time period and I have experience with all ages and orientations.

I work within the codes of ethics of my member organisations and comply with the current data protection regulations.

I have experience helping clients with difficulties such as these:

  • Relationship problems
  • Low self esteem, lack of confidence
  • Specific problems such as bereavement, sexual difficulties or eating issues
  • Parenting, divorce
  • Work-place issues (redundancy, retirement)
  • The consequences of trauma
  • Long standing emotional problems

Hope is the thing with feathers that perches in the soul - and sings the tunes without the words - and never stops at all.
